Mirage is the pinnacle of one man's dream... his ultimate IOR racer Cruser... built in his own yard (Cal Coast Marine)... to his own specifications... and a true custom one-off design... Mirage was to reflect the vision of performance and design of one man...  Les Harlander, a prominent engineer and racer on the San Francisco Bay/ West Coast area.  Launched in 1982, Mirage took 6th in the Big Boat Series that year.   Personal events limited Les' continued racing and cruising days aboard Mirage..

In 1995, Mirage headed for the Caribbean, to begin a new racing career, which todate, has amply demonstrated her abilities as an ocean racer/cruiser.
